The child protection team of the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution went to Al Shifaa Hospital on Sunday , evening 28/02/2010 after they are told about an explosion at Al Nasser near the Italian Center .
They visited the children and talked to them in order to know the cause of the explosion . The children, who are about 12 to 16 years old ,were collecting brassy pieces to sell them .
While they were watching the pieces , a piece of them called " air detonator " dropped and exploded . As a result , two children were injured , their fingers were cut , they had a rupture in their tissues and burns in their feet .
The child protection team lead by Ms. Manal Zein Eldeen supported the children psychologically and told them about the dangers of the mines in addition to the dangers of their work .
At the end , they gave the families the free number for any help and presents for the children .
