Thursday – morning , 25/02/2010 . The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution in cooperation with the Ministry of Education , the department of Educational Guidance ended the activities of the training course about " Treating the low of motivation and the academic delay " within the child protection project in partnership with the united nations UNICEF as 55 counselors are targeted from Gaza Strip schools .
Many subjects about the low of motivation and academic delay are discussed . They discussed the role of the parents , the student and the teacher in raising the motivation level and treating the academic delay , using different techniques through the training such as , brainstorming , small groups and the open discussion within large groups .. etc.
Mrs. Hedeya Al Borno explained different parts about the problem and put the solutions by the role-play and acting by the counselors in order to get the ideas and deal with them . Also, she focused on the role of the counselor inside the school and that they should cooperate with the parents to introduce the guidance services .
She praised the role of the center and she asked for several specialized courses in guidance .
The participants put many recommendations in the end of the training . Also , all of the participants expressed their interest in the training course as it is considered as a specialized course in the field of treating the low of motivation and academic delay .
